Description: ΠΩΛΕΙΤΑΙ ΒΙΛΑ ΣΤΗΝ ΑΡΧΑΙΑ ΕΠΙΔΑΥΡΟ
This secluded villa of great tranquillity, harmoniously set between sea and mountains was the retreat of the world famous pianist/conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy. Perched above the bay on the Saronic Gulf and surrounded by cypress and pine trees, it enjoys unrivalled views across the blue sea adorned with islands.
The village of Ancient Epidavros, which is located 3.5 km from the villa, is on the East coast of the Peloponese. It is best known for being the birthplace of modern medicine and healing. It also hosts a theatre and concert season in the months of July and August in the world’s oldest and best-preserved ancient theatre.
The location is well situated for visiting the many places of classical and historic interest such as Nafplion, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, and Corinth.
Many islands including Spetses, Hydra and Aegina are also within easy reach giving Ancient Epidavros the virtues of an island setting with the convenience of mainland communication.
It is a thriving farming and fishing community with lots of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes. The villa stands alone except for a small Byzantine style chapel and is slightly elevated from the sea, 15 metres from a small, secluded pebble beach and jetty.
