Description: Flat, Building Plot Of 1,518 Sqm.

This flat plot of 1,518 square metres lies within the village plan area of Spartia and thus has a building allowance of 400 square metres. Should a larger plot is required, it can be sold together with an adjacent plot of 1,518 square metres as well at 110,000 euros in the aggregate. The picturesque village of Spartia, one of the oldest settlements of the island of Kefalonia, currently has an indigenous population of about 500 all year round. Spartia is built on a hillside covered with cypresses, olive trees, fruit trees and flowering bushes – it was called after spartium junceum – and boasts spectacular sea views along the southern coast of the island. The whole Leivathos area surrounding Spartia is of breathtaking beauty. The stunning beach of Klimatsias is only 1 km from Spartia, but also several sandy beaches like Ai Helis, Avythos, Paliolinos, Trapezaki, Lourdas and Aghios Thomas are within easy driving distance. Moreover, there are several worth-visiting monuments near Spartia, including the Venetian Saint George castle, the byzantine monastery of Saint Andrew, Mycenaean tombs, the monastery of Theotokos of Sission established by Franciscus of Assisi, etc. Spartia lies 12 km from the capital Argostoli – which features a wide range of stores, banks and a general hospital – and 5 km from Kefalonia's airport. Daily flights throughout the year and regular direct charter flights during summer connect Kefalonia with Athens and several European cities respectively. Kefalonia, also called Cephalonia, is the largest of the Ionian Islands in western Greece. It is famous for its scenic beauty. Drogarati caves, the subterranean Melissani lake, the Venetian fortress of Assos, Aenos national park and wildlife (loggerhead sea turtles, monk seals, wild horses) are only a few of its attractions. Kefalonia enjoys a world-wide reputation for its olive oil, wine, honey and “feta” cheese.
